Today Kevin got an upgrade on his probably 3-year-old iPhone 3! We originally thought of getting the newest iPhone until the AT&T employee showed him this new, cool, and faster phone called the Samsung Galaxy Note 2! This phone is the latest thing. There is one con for Kevin, it is really advanced and complicated. With all the cool features that the phone comes with you must have some technology knowledge which Kevin has none of. Kevin says "It would be awesome if he knew how to work it." Over time the kids will teach him how to use his phone. Hopefully, it will be a good investment!

Braeden Got Glasses!
For a while now, Braeden has been asking for glasses because he has been having trouble seeing the board in class from far away so I decided we should at least get him check. So we got his eyes checked about last week from his friends dad and it turned out that he is near sighted which means that he can't see good from far away. So our insurance payed for most of the check up and most of the glasses. When we were choosing out his glasses his sister persuaded him into choosing a pair of glasses that were "cool" but he did not like them so he got them anyways and then decided he wanted to change them so that took 2 more days and he finally got him today. He says he can see very good now! *Cue I Can See Clearly Now by Johnny Nash* -Braeden's Joke

Happy Labor Day!
Labor Day is an American federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September (September 3 in 2012) that celebrates the economic and social contributions of workers. To start off Labor Day, Braeden woke up at 6 a.m. (so much for sleeping in) with other scouts to put US flags out on yards of people that payed to have them put their flags out for them. The money that they earned all went to their scout camp funding. Tonight for Labor Day we are going out to eat dinner with Kevin's son, Adam, to Memphis Pit Bar-B-Que! Yum! I hope that everyone is having a great Labor Day!

Back To School!
It's time for the kids to go back to work at school! The kids were excited to see their friends again and get new schedules and teachers. The kids are in 8th grade this year for 2012-13 school year. The kids have one class together and that's a 9th grade class called Algebra I! This year they have to take health and P.E. they take health for the first quarter and P.E. for the rest of the school year. Braeden was nervous that they wouldn't have Jazz Band, a special band that plays before school, but they have Jazz Band this year and he is 1st Trumpet! Ryan is in Advanced Orchestra playing the Viola! We had to get a zone variance for the school because we moved out of the school zone so Kevin and Ryan had to go to the school and get a variance, they let the kids keep going because they already have gone there for 2 years already. They said that they had a great first week of school! As for the blog, I am having Braeden keep up on this blog because I don't know how to do this right, so expect more posts from Braeden about what's going on in our lives.
